George is a talented footballer with a passion and enthusiasm to be the best he can be. George has been a key and valued member of his football team throughout his time at school and he has demonstrated an adaptability to play a variety of positions if and when required, including centre-half, 8 and 6, although I would say George is a natural 6 with an eye for a goal. George has a tremendous strike on him and has proven ability to strike from long-range. George’s overall ability has never been questioned and his reliability on, and off the pitch, have made him an integral member of the squad. George’s natural ability to manipulate and control the ball allows him the time to make positive, offensive decisions. He looks to play quick, forward and direct at all times, and his game intelligence and awareness mean he recognises the importance of keeping possession, so he doesn’t force the play; he is more than willing to play backwards if the situation dictates. George is strong in the tackle and also in the air, this is helped by his 6’3” size. George demonstrates great tenacity on the pitch and he has an in-built desire to win the ball and look after it. George is an extremely intelligent young man which is reflected in the way he trains and plays. He can be relied upon to follow his coach’s advice and guidance and implement all tactics and roles to the third degree, he is selfless and will always put the team ahead of personal accolades. George never lets himself or his teammates down and this is testament to the commitment he consistently displays. A great player and a great young man!
— Mr M Jackson Head of Football – The Ferrers School
George conducts himself in a very professional manner of which I hold huge compliment and praise for, be it on the training ground or match days George is like a sponge always listening taking in what you’re saying and extremely focused on his football. George currently finds himself starting week in week out with in our set up and I have no concerns that come the end the season that George has the ability and could quite easily follow these lads in to men’s football. George being the type of player he is plays a big role in our team both in regards his position and in our tactical set up and patterns of play. He’s a big strong dominant figure in the centre of midfield but also a player with great technical ability both in the air and at his feet. George holds a great set piece ability and prides himself on this. George being one of the 5 to step into a new changing room this year settled in perfectly well very quickly gaining respect of his new team mates and very quickly becoming a mutual feeling with in a great bunch of lads. It has been a pleasure working with George so far this season and can’t compliment his hard work to now enough. He’s polite, hard working and genuine and is certainly a compliment to his parents I look forward to working with him the rest of this season and the future and would like this opportunity to wish him all the best for what ever his future holds.
